South Bay is in Redfish Bay just north of the Aransas Channel and Hwy 361. It is a relatively shallow bay that turns into grass flats on the northeastern side. The grassy flats are productive for redfish targeting pot holes and grass lines. The open portion of the bay holds good population of trout, but often are smaller school trout.
